God has blessed our family richly over the last years in numerous ways…3 wonderful children, new job and coaching opportunities for my husband, various church ministries, the ability to be a stay-at-home mom and homeschool teacher to our children…and so much more! With these many blessings (and our newest blessing, Addison), priorities and goals have changed for our family. As do all, our family is beginning a new “season” of life given to us by God, and with that season comes change.

Over the last several months, much thought and prayer has gone into the details of our family’s journey…trying to discern what direction God would have for us. Some details have been simple to change, others…not so much. One of those “not so simple” details is the business, Marsha Barton Photography.

Though it has been an extremely hard decision to make, as of December 31, 2014, Marsha Barton Photography will be closing our business doors. As a family, we feel that God has called our first priority to be our children, which, in this season of life, requires more of my time and attention than I can give while also managing a business. There are simply not enough hours in the day to manage two full time jobs and giving both my 100%. Could this be a temporary close of business? Possibly, but at this time, I don’t know. Only God knows the future plans for our family and my business. But for now, it’s a change that needs to be made for our family.

Please know that I do greatly appreciate all of the many years of faithful clients you all have been! It hurts my heart to have to tell you all to find another photographer because capturing memories for families at affordable prices is something I’m very passionate about and enjoy. As hard as it is, I know it’s the right thing to do at this time. Any sessions, edits, and orders will all be processed as normal through the rest of the year. So, please don’t think I’m shutting my doors before finishing the job. And, if any of you are still in need of a print-released image disk, please let me know. They are still available, as well! I’m here to help however I can to make sure this transition is as easy for you as possible. Thank you, in advance, for your grace and understanding as we begin our new “season” of life.
